Los Alamitos City Council has decided to take on the side on of U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and continue the attacks on the immigrant community. By passing a resolution 4-1, the city is now on its way to passing an ordinance that goes against the Values Act (SB 54) and consequently, make it easier for ICE to continue deporting the members of our community.
We rise against the city’s plans to undermine our safety, and the safety of our neighbors and loved ones.
This is a call to action to stand up for our immigrant communities and let the city council know we will rise together, as one, against their acts of discrimination and scapegoating.
